a 7/8 smiler and an 8/8 with thumb notch
Here are a couple of razors I finished. The smiling one is 7/8, O1 with cow-bone scales. The second one with the thumb notch is cmp154 with giraffe-bone scales. It is interesting that the giraffe- and cow-bone look so much alike.
The tang shape and the thumb notch on the cmp154 razor take a while to get used to stropping, but it sure does feel good in the hand when you use it for shaving. I roll the razor between my thumb and forefinger at the thinnest point of the notch when stropping.

Looking fantastic Charlie. The cmp154 tang and tail is reminiscent of a condensed dePews. I really like it.

Beautiful work Charlie. I can feel the sweat and tears that went into making them. I'm getting a sore thumb just thinking about it.

Thanked: 240The tang/tail on that 8/8 is sweet looking. I sure that it more then makes up for the difficulty in stropping with the feel it has in you hand when shaving, nice to see a thumb notch on a bigger blade too.

Wow! That's all I can say! That is a beautiful piece of work
Did you have to specially treat the scales for durability or are bone scales durable w/out any treatment?

Beautiful work Charlie . Love the lines... & the curves
