Default Griffon XX 67 / 42a in Clear Acrylic

This was something new for me. Actually, several new things. First time using clear acrylic, first time using acrylic this thin, first time using nickel silver rod, and I tried some new things in the fabrication process too.

All in all, I think it came out rather will. I put a matte finish on the black acrylic wedge to get a uniform look through both sides of the scales.

Nickel silver rod with stainless steel washers on the outside and brass washers inside at the pivot.

The main thing I don't like is that the razor sits high when closed. This is because I hadn't realized I would have to sand both sides of the wedge right away, so the wedge ended up a bit thin and therefore the razor sits a bit high when closed. But now I know, so I should be able to avoid that in the future.

Anyway, on to the photos. (Pins/washers have not yet been buffed. There is also some dust inside the scales, so they don't look as clear as they are.)
