Thanked: 13249Double up on some ERN-ATOR razors
This was a fun prodject I get to share with you guys, these two ATOR razors came down from the Great White North from our own "Blazinrazor" here at SRP...
This is a perfect example of why this community gets along so welllast year I bought myself an ATOR and not liking the original scales, I of course changed them to some Flash Acrylic, actually had to listen to some people explain why I should have left them
They have sat in my bench box collecting dust, then along comes Don with 2 ATORs and one set of scales, he says can you clean them up switch the scales over to the 6/8 ATOR and make some custom Wenge' ones for the 5/8.. I say "Sure, but what if I told you I have a set of originals" Well we know the answer there right
So I take both ATORs and polish up the steel wasn't really that bad anyway except on the pivots..
Then take to both sets of scales, I clean them first with a old tooth brush and Comet, then some PlastX polish, then run them on the 1725 rpm buffer with a Plastic polish and soft buff, then hand polish again...
All new brass pins and washers in and out, and some honing and we have two "Original" ATOR razors ready for shaving again...
So it goes to show that nothing ever really goes to waste here on SRP as some of us like original and some of us do not...
