Beautiful work!
Another one that Alan had sent me, didn't take to long at all... Sorry no before pics the camera was inside the house :(
The razor was so covered in Red Rust that you couldn't read the tang, polished all that off on the buffers. Tossed away the old beat up wood scales somebody had pounded on there years ago and used these Faux Bamboo's off another Torrey that I had in the shop... New pins & washers in and out finishes it off and it is going on the hones here in a bit,,, Going to do the exact same routine as I used on the Case XX but thinking a Coticule this time round...

Careful Glen, you might find you only need 2 stones for everything... Maybe not :)
Oz my friend there are a whole lotta stones and hones between Need and Want hehehehe
Thanks again Glen ..best tutorial videos going...thanks again..
Two more that Alan sent...
I started on these Slick Black scales then stopped and took a pic of how bad they were :) that Greenish Brown stuff all over them is actually oxidation (note the tape stripe)... A bit of work starting with 220 grit sandpaper and ending with polishing and they are Slick Black again...

These are heading to the hones too, but I am going to video another 1 Stone Honing session on that Bamboo Torrey using a Coticule since I haven't done a Vid of that yet... IIRC I have a Thuringen and now the PHIG might as well do the Coticule version while I am goofing :)
That bakelite looks like an 8 ball :tu
This is an older Morley, that has the Clover, but no "Clover Brand" at least that is what I am thinking, it is also stamped Hamburg Ground on the blade face...
Sorry no before epics on this one either as the steel was buffed the other day when I did the Torrey with the Bamboo.. I keep trying to remember to leave the shop camera in the shop but sometimes I just forget to bring it back out there :(
Re-polish again on a set of Slick Black scales and i used Nickel Silver pins with those new smaller SS washers to hold it back together again :)

The small washers look great as does the whole restore. Can't wait for mine to arrive.
