This razor started out as a real ugly duckling. After heat treating, it just sat on my bench. Something about the lines and the balance just wasn't working for me. When a customer asked me to make him a kamisori, I figured I would give the blade another shot.
I really didn't do much to change the razor. I just refined the curves a little and cleaned up the grind. The customer's suggestion to use the redwood burl helped a lot (this was actually the third scale attempt). With a little time and effort I turned a blade I didn't like at all into something I'm proud of.

I forgot to add: the ura was ground on a ten inch wheel and the omote was done on the three inch wheel. This is my most even kamisori grind to date.
