i was wondering if this was repairable? it has a crack going right down the blade... i took alot of rust of it but some of it was pretty deep... it's completely origional and the scales are ivory
is it worth cleaning and fixing?

Unless you have Magneto like powers, it's a gonner. I suppose in theory you could get a master welder to tig it up then have it normalized, re-hardened, tempered and re-ground ... but in reality ... gonner. Might look nice in a display case I suppose.
How the hell does a blade crack like that! Wow that is stuffed!
If the scales are nice use them on a razor you find with a good blade but bad scales.
Or
Like MickRussell said.. It might look good on display!
I think it's beyond salvation too. Shame though, I have one and it's one of my favorite razors. The ivory scales would be worth hanging on to if your planning on getting more razors.
Grant
I regret to tell you but I don't think it's reparaible.
Antoni
Or you could use Photoshop :D

I fixed the crack, fixed the smile, gave her a polish and put her on a nice red display cloth for ya!
That would be the geek coming out of me!
Shaving with a phtoshop repaired razor? O_0 Now that's l33t!! lol
Anyone else need some repairs??? :D
That is epic to say the least. That is my sort of restoration :p
You need to print it out first! Geez, some people! :D
Translation for non nerds out there:
That should be close shouldn't it MickRussell?
@ RoyalInvicta - I hope i haven't scared you off with my bad jokes, i have a sad sense of humor! And i talk too much! :D
Did i also mention i cant spell...? :D
Edit: Fixed
I used to play Elite on C64, so I've had practice with that word is all. ;)
Where is the crack & does it move ? If it doesn't it could simply be a surface crack that will not affect anything.
Here is an example of a surface crack running almost the full length of the spine. Completely safe & no effect on the razor
Pic in the first post, Oz. The crack is a doozey. You can see light though it.
I was going to ask if it moves but the crack looks like its about 2mm thick, you can see light through the blade in the photo. It starts in the middle of the point and almost goes down to the double stabilizing piece.
The crack in the photo you provided looks no wear near as bad unfortunately.. It's a shame really.
Damn you got there first, i heard the e-mail as i clicked the "post reply" button lol
hmm, im thinking of breaking of the cracked piece and shaping (honing) it out to be a thin razor..
like you guys said it's a gonner so i may as well try something... ill show photos of how it goes later,
the crack is right through and it movies around :(
no no lol thats was pretty awesome haha
The bevel would be out too much because of the height of the spine.. i don't think it would take an edge.. Even if you honed the spine down as well but onimaru55 is the one to answer that correctly.
OK then, she's rilly broke:( I thought that grey line was a reflection or something. I'd say it's a dead loss for a full shave but you might be able to reshape it into a mo' trimmer or similar & yeah the spine will need thinning too. Can always be a sharp letter opener at worse.
EM Dickinson made razors 1880's -1930's. S'all I know.
