Exclamation How do i repair this Royal Invicta straight razor? and is it repairable?

i was wondering if this was repairable? it has a crack going right down the blade... i took alot of rust of it but some of it was pretty deep... it's completely origional and the scales are ivory
is it worth cleaning and fixing?

Unless you have Magneto like powers, it's a gonner. I suppose in theory you could get a master welder to tig it up then have it normalized, re-hardened, tempered and re-ground ... but in reality ... gonner. Might look nice in a display case I suppose.

How the hell does a blade crack like that! Wow that is stuffed!

If the scales are nice use them on a razor you find with a good blade but bad scales.

    Or

Like MickRussell said.. It might look good on display!

I think it's beyond salvation too. Shame though, I have one and it's one of my favorite razors. The ivory scales would be worth hanging on to if your planning on getting more razors.

    Or you could use Photoshop

I fixed the crack, fixed the smile, gave her a polish and put her on a nice red display cloth for ya!

That would be the geek coming out of me!
