    Thanks,
I have to go back and touch up one side of the "notch"
It seems it need a slight more taper. You can feel it when stroping. It not enough to scratch the leather but just enough to notice.

    Cool

So a bit of follow up on the razor pictured here with the Orange spacer...

Brian sent this out to me so I could mess around with honing it and shaving it... When I talked with him I learned that he normally goes to natural stones for finishing, so for the first run through I decided to go to the exact polar opposite and see how the razor faired..

Honing the first time was done on the full set of Shaptons 1-2-4-6-8-16-30 + 10 laps on Cerium Oxide the razor was very well behaved all the way through on the hones not a single hiccup...

The results of my first shave last night were great, the razor held onto the Shapton edge and delivered a very close comfortable shave.. In fact I still can't feel stubble after 12 hours

I am going to shave it once again with this edge then re-hone using an Escher as a finisher and see how that feels too..

I redid the other BB today, also with Shaptons
Brian warned me before I got it he wasn't 100% satisfied with his honing on it, and the least couple shaves didn't feel right, so it was time. Chosera 1k, 2-4-6-8-16k Shapton GS, then 0.50 CBN on balsa, 0.25 CBN on balsa, finishing with 0.125 CBN on leather.

Now we were talking, got a killer shave, nice and smooth and really , really close, we are talking almsot BBS at the second pass, yet you go for a third because it feels so good!....

    I can't tell a lie...blix was the victim of a new hone acquisition...lol
Kind of like a kid that gets a BB gun for Christmas.... You have to try it out, Right!
I did give him fair warning though...lol
