Thread: Palmera 14 in some new scales

Here's an 8/8 Palmera 14 that had her heal sticking through the scales. I based the new set on the originals, just playing with the curves a bit to thin the pivot end, blunt the wedge end, and make sure there would be no exposed blade.

Since the blade is so big and hollow, I tapered the wedge from the bottom to the top to ensure that the blade would sit properly while still allowing a fair amount of wedge material. Maybe some pics of that will pop up later.

Scales are black acrylic with a matte finish, nickle silver rod with stainless washers, and the wedge is... I think it's called tauga. It's some type of nut that looks rather similar to ivory.
