This was my first ever restore attempt and i had a blast doing it. This was one of my antique finds from last weekend still have quite a few to do. I will definitely be doing more of these restores as it was quite fun. I'm still debating if I want to put her in new scales or leave the originals for now.

I have two Manhattan Cutlery razors. One has that blade and the other has those scales. I had Lynn sharpen them both and they are both great shavers. You did a great job on that one. Someone carved 1875 on my scales like those. You really got that blade looking great. You'll love the way it shaves.
I look forward to giving her a test shave in the next few days, they are pretty blades for sure.

I'm the odd man out here....I say if you're going to wear a nice shirt and tie, then make sure that your pants are hemmed and pressed, and your shoes are mirror polished.
That blade looks awesome. Now...a nice new pair of horn scales, or some exotic wood buffed to a soft lustre....that's when my knees go weak.

Did you sand inside the scales? You can also polish inside them without any unpinning--just put some Flitz on a piece of ribbon and work it around in there. I think those are gorgeous scales. Give them a good soak in neetsfoot oil before you do anything too harsh to them. I had some nice ones delaminate on me, and I think it could have been prevented.
