Thanked: 34My first try at restoring i'm pretty happy with it. MANHATTAN CUTLERY CO Razor.
This was my first ever restore attempt and i had a blast doing it. This was one of my antique finds from last weekend still have quite a few to do. I will definitely be doing more of these restores as it was quite fun. I'm still debating if I want to put her in new scales or leave the originals for now.
Before.
After.

Very nicely done! I second keeping those scales. Those heavy Sheffields are really handsome. You brought one back from the abyss.

Thanked: 1072Awesome work. My vote would be to keep the scales too, I like 'em.
Do you mind telling us the process' you used to restore the blade and scales, just curious.

I have two Manhattan Cutlery razors. One has that blade and the other has those scales. I had Lynn sharpen them both and they are both great shavers. You did a great job on that one. Someone carved 1875 on my scales like those. You really got that blade looking great. You'll love the way it shaves.

Man, thats nice! Let's see the other side. Stabilize those scales and keep it original! They are not making those anymore! Great work. ....get it on....Tom
