10/8 Custom Black G10 "Shamu"
Ok, this is a new design that I have been working on and just finished. When I got it done my wife said it looked like a whale so thus the name. lol The scales are g10 and the steel is O1. Have no idea what to call the blade shape.
At the deepest portion of the blade top of spine to edge is 11/8 and it tapers... but the actual grind is more like an 8/8. I made her half hollow on the grind. Finish is satin buff overall. I beveled the top of the spine to make honing similar to a normal razor with a smile, kind of. hehe I couldn’t wait to shave with it so I gave it a go this evening and loved it! Anyway, Thanks for taking a look.
Best Regards Kenny
Great name idea Glen, I like it! Thanks to your wife since she thought of it.Last edited by rangerdvs; 04-11-2012 at 05:29 PM.

Thanked: 1371Fantastic! I like how the lines of it work. None of the curves seem out of place.
So often I see custom razors that look cool, but leave the impression that some of the design elements are put in just for the sake of looking cool with no thought to how they work with the rest of the design.
That, IMHO, is what sets an art piece apart from a neat looking razor. Charlie Lewis is a master of it.
This razor hits that same standard.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.
