I decided to give an old Boker 1056 a new lease on life. I wish I could take credit for the build, but giving credit where credit is due my cousin (Ryan Smith) did a hell of a job! The scales are black palm and antler wedge.

that is beauuuutiful! great job!

Thank you. He did a great job. I shaved with it today I was very pleased, its going to the front of the rotation..!
-
All I can say is.... WOW!
-
I've got a piece of black palm that I'm using to make a knife handle. I hope mine turns out as nicely as your scales did.
-
I'm sure they will. Black palm has such a great grain pattern. He used 12 coats of cv on the scales. I can't wait to start on my 9/8 Wade I found yesterday.

Nicely done. You have to happy with that. :tu

Thanks for all of the complements...it means alot to here good things about my work. Just wanted to give you guys some details on what went into this razor...the pins are nickle silver, and the washers are stainless steel that has been thined down. It has brass bearings, I used aluminum on the sides of the deer antler wedge. The scales and the wedge are both stabalized.I also honed the razor so it was shave ready...hope you enjoyed seeing the razor, more to come!!!

Thanks again Ryan you did a great job, as you do on any project you work on. Wish my pictures did the razor the full justice it deserves. I cant wait to get started on the Wade everyone needs a BIG CHOPPER..!
