I've posted a few times, but wanted to share my first set of scales...
I wanted to post my first set of scales. Since then I have made a few more which I have posted here. The razor is a Dubl Duck Golderege that I purchased from eBay. When I received the razor the scales were very loose and upon inspection, the inside of of the pivot hole was cracked. Upon trying to hone it the entire scale cracked. I love the look of the original scales (and am still looking for original replacements), but wanted to get this into my rotation. The scales I created are Cocobolo and have way too much of a curve. I'd change them, but I am a bit nostalgic as they are my first.

If it feels ok in your hand honing, stropping and shaving, there's nothing the matter with a 'smile'.(:-)

Thanked: 170I'd like to see a picture of the razor closed - If that works visually, I really like the scales. The double pin at the toe end works really well. Congratulations
