7/8 Wade & Butcher 'American Razor' in Blonde Horn
Hi guys!
This razor is finally together for the last time (I pinned, unpinned and repinned a couple of times as a result of gunk between the wedge and the scales) so I thought I would share it with you!
Its a 7/8 Wade & Butcher 'American Razor' that received a light blade restore (sanded + polished spine & lightly polished faces) and a new pair of blonde horn scales made in the classic shape.
This horn was part of a special request to Masecraft for the 'blondest blonde they had', brought in an effort to best replicate the bleached(?) cow horn that was so oft used in the past. The scales were actually made for a 'Fine India Steel' W&B, but they seemed to flow a touch better than the grey horn pair that I originally fashioned for this blade.
The wedge is Aluminium with a wee bit of a 'vee' filed into it for aesthetics and the pins are NiAg with stainless and brass stacked washers.
Thanks for looking!

I like the whole razor, but I think this is the first time that I'm mesmerized by the wedge. The shine and the "V" just finish off the blonde horn to perfection. Very classy razor!!

Howard

Thanked: 43First off, great job!! The razor looks amazing. Personally I really like the contrast between the polished shank and spine and the patina on the blade. So cool! An honorable mention goes to the distinctive wedge.

Nice job Matt. Slicker than a wet watermelon seed .
