This blade had a lot of pitting, and I can't believe how clean Max was able to get it.

Wow! that's a very impressive blade, great restore Max, wouldn't mind adding that chopper to my rotation.

Rune, there was no other option as to reground the blade as to get the orange skin pitted look gone. I try to stay away from greaseless and will only use it as a last resort if everything else fails. Unfortunately I could not remove all the pitting especially towards the lower half of the blade's grind which was extremely thin. It would have bend like alu-foil if I tried to go any further. It's hard to notice on the untouched razor pics but the pitting, although shallow, was extremely bad. It looked like the razor was dumped in a glass full with acid.

If I were stranded on a deserted island with nothing to shave with, but a clam shell & that restoration from Max; well,,,, I guess I would have to choose the Wade & Butcher above.

It would be a tough decision though.

Thats a beautiful blade. Im just getting into shaving with a straight razor but a W&B chopper like this one is on my list of compulsary purchases. Max has done a fantastic job. You lucky man!!!!
