Indeed Tom, they were also part owners in both companies, and the Case was a part of Cattaraugus, looks like a big triangle of fine American cutlery!

Beautiful work, Tom. 'A gorgeous razor that got matching care.
'Hope it puts smiles on your face for decades.
Looks great, I have a Robeson with the same grind that I love. :D
Ahh, another oldy but goody thread. Awesome looking blade and double grind, too cool. Amazing how forward thinking the razor design is, considering how old it is. Thanks for sharing Sharptonn.

I keep thinking about these scales. Do you know the history behind them?

I really don't know what make of razor they came from.
I should have a clue as I have 3 sets of them. Alas, I have no idea.
The original blade was not as nice as this one. THAT I can guarantee! ;)
Well, the tobacco fits American made blades.
Yes, I think it was certainly a 'for USA' thing.
One thing I like about them is they can take quite a large blade.
well Tom I don't even look at buying razors anymore, but man I would have to change my mind if one like that came up. got to love that grind and like Glen said I bet it takes a great edge. and any steel out of Little Valley New York has my respect TC :chapeau
