Hello everyone, I have been working on this razor on and off for a while and it is finally done, so on to the pics

Bottom left corner. In pretty rough shape, has one wood scale that someone made, tons of deep pitting, point is very bad. Etch says "American Congress Concave Razor". Still a very neat blade with a cool grind. The scales going on it are the ivory ones on that Atkins on the right. The Atkins is odd, has no tail and these aren't the original scales (the fact that is was pinned with what appeared to be a steel tack of some sort was my first clue). Also pictured, the Hawcroft I posted a week or so ago and a Carolina Cutlery that a friend gave to me.

Notice the pitting on the pivot hole at top. Pretty deep. Also the ivory has a crack in it, very common around pinholes.

You can see the bad state of the point, as well as the etch and grime on the blade.

A chip fractured off of the scales when I was cleaning out the hole with a brush, very little pressure used. I'm glad it happened here instead of when I was pinning it. I decided to implant some small pieces of steel, taken from a hairpin, across the break and near the hole. So I prepared the steel, marked where I was cutting, and cut out some material down the length of the fracture.

Here is the razor with the channels cut, ready for epoxy.

Here is the result after epoxy fully cured. I haven't sanded it flat at this point. Also notice the pinhole on the razor, I ground out the bad steel and filled it with steel-filled epoxy (JB Kwik). After that cured I drilled it to fit the pin tightly. This is done mostly to stop the corrosion within the pinhole and make the razor pin tightly. I'm gonna do another post I guess for the results because it's not letting me upload any more pics.
