8/8 and 7/8 custom razors for two gentleman
Hi everyone!
It was a long time ago I posted some razors here, so here are two I recently finished making and honing.
First up is a 8/8 symmetrical fixed blade. The steel is O-1 at 62HRC mirror polished, top and bottom jimps to hold this beast securely. The blade balances right at the holding point, so it is much more comfortable to hold and use as one would think. But let the pics speak:
The next one is an improved version of one of my first razors. Some minor problems were fixed, bottom and top jimps were added, and some adjustments made on the profile. Steel is O1 62HRC, scales are cocobolo with an african blackwood wedge, double SS washers with nickel-silver pins. Here are the pics, I hope you will like them!
Thanks for watching!

Very nice! I love them both. They really are the modern days razors.
Is there a thread where you explain how you make these razors?

Thanked: 375Awesome work, like them both! I would love to see the Kamiosri style blade in a set of scales with those jimps, and a more traditional tail. That is one very nice looking blade.

Great work. Both are nicely done. Did you test shave them?
