8/8 Custom Bone Razor
Hi Guys, here is one I finished off tonight. It is just a tad over 8/8 and the steel is O1, HRC 60. The gent I made it for asked for something that looked like the bones of a finger. I sanded to 2000 grit then used Charlie's hot vinegar for an etch (Thanks Spazola), I wanted an 'organic' look rather than a mirror finish.
Anyway, thanks for looking.

Thanked: 220Quite possibly the coolest looking straight I've ever seen. VERY nice work. How's it to hold, & how's the balance on it?

You're spot on, lots and lots and lots.....of hand sanding. But it was fun to get it finished.
Thanks, It feels good in the hand. Balances just behind the heel of the blade. I wasn't sure about the stropping, but it stropped fairly easily.
