    Default Few Recent Restorations

    Hi All,
here are a few restorations i have finished this week. All were in reasonable shape and just needed a good clean up and hone. Everything kept original. all finished on my recently acquired NANIWA SS 12K and shave smoothly as well as passing the hanging hair test. There is something satisfying about taking something old and renewing it to it's original state and edge. Different to rebuilds, although i enjoy those as well.
    Enjoy.
    Adam

They cleaned up nicely Adam. What is the the razor in the middle? The scales are very interesting, with the little bump in the middle.

Also, you must have borrowed a hair from the wife for those HHTs mate

I had a torrey like the one you have with the blade keeper things. (I believe it is etched with "full double concave"). Good shaver, unfortunately, the person I got it from asked if she could have it back after her stepdad died a while back as it was from his family before I got it. good shaver though, and I liked it because it was very unique with the blade holder.

Borrowed a hair from my daughter Mate.
The one in the middle is JR Torrey. Has a copyright date of design on it of 1905. The little bumps flex over the spine when closing and hold the blade closed. Pretty sure it is Mother of Pearl overlay on the Tang.
