I got this one and it had some black bakelite scales that were in really good shape, but was alittle off balance for what I like so decided to rescale it. I guess the fact that I had some nice looking curly cocobolo lying around helped me decide to rescale. It is a 6/8 1/4 hollow Joseph Rogers & Sons. There was a couple spots of rust on the tang and some scratches on the blade, but decided to just remove the rust and leave the scratches. I couldn't get good picture of the scales to show the "curly", but it is more pronounced in person. I was actually able to save the collars which I end up ruining 9 out of 10 so was glad for that cause they go well with the razor. I used a smaller set of collars for the pivot pin that matched the larger ones. I used minwax tung oil for the finish and buffed it to a warm glow. Now if only I could instantly grow some facial hair to try this one out.
