Thanked: 2284Joseph Rodgers & sons. wedge restore.
I Got this blade a few months ago with a bunch of other blades. It had some bad honewear and the scales were cracked. I had some amazing curly maple that I had been saving and thought this blade would make a good candidate. They are finished in a crystal clear epoxy. I sanded down the blade and left a brushed finish, just on the blade faces. Everything else got an Autosol rub down. The wedge is solid brass which helps balance out this true wedge, and the washers are double stacked brass, ss with nickel silver pins. There's a bit of pitting left, but nothing that effects the shave.
