Double Duck full custom restore

Full custom restore of a 6/8 Double Duck Satin Edge
The toe was modified, probably broken at some point, but the fix was pretty ugly IMO, so I reshaped it into a French point
The scales are made by request in one of my early designs, in transparent smoke acrylic.
Brass pins and SS washers with orange acrylic wedge complete the restoration.

Just one question: why did you opt for a French point instead of the original spike point? Just curious.

Well because I am fan of the french point, and for a change is different and more refreshing than the usual.

I used the my belt sander, a cheapo from Sears, and a glass of cold water to dip every few seconds.

Those scales were one of my early designs when I started restoring.
I wanted something different from the usual. That was before I realize that I like the usual better, he he.
Funny enough that design has been requested the most of all my other custom designs.

Nice save on that one Stefan! Interesting shape and design to the scales. Nicely done.

I am a total str8 razor noob but that is one amazing piece of work
