Some Mckinney history stuff I was directed to on the web. There is more but most of it pertains to the family business today.
:: Margot McKinney :: Jewellery
Burial details of the main man himself: John McKinney (Section RC 4 Block 1 Allotment 22) Toowoomba and Drayton Cemetary.
John McKinney left Ireland in 1881 at the age of 19, for Australia. In 1885 he established the House of McKinney that began as a tobacconist and hairdresser at the top end of Ruthven Street. Even over the war years the business grew. By 1927 John McKinney passed the reins over to his son. Toowoomba’s store used to extend from Ruthven Street over Duggan Street to Victoria Street.
John McKinney started his tobacconist and hairdressing shop between Kwong Sang (A chinese business and buddist temple started in 1883) and Lippold's Gun Shop.

Thanks Mick, I love knowing stuff like that.
I'm down in Sydney away from my tools and that razor is one of the 6 or 7 I brought with me to hand sand while I'm here. Hopefully I can post it soon back to its former glory.

Length doesn't matter. Ask any wakamisori user :D
And speaking of JNO Baker, they're now in Dubbo & still sell farming supplies but no razors anymore.
Another, but maybe less common razor in Oz is the "Flic".
Anyone own one ? I used to have 2.
Pretty much the German equal of a Bengall IME.
I know Jimbo, thems is fightin' words :)
I have a Flic. I should hone it up and give it a try.
