Default Three Bengall razors at Lancasters Toowoomba

For the Aussies who may be willing to take the time, I saw three bengall razors at Lancasters Antiques in Toowoomba. They looked to be 4/8, 5/8 and 6/8. They would need some TLC from my breif look at them...I wasn't willing to put the time into them, as razor resto's are outside my ken at the moment. But for $28 each they might be worth someones time. They were there as of Sunday (yesterday).

Hey! I've been to Toowoomba! Nice town.

My buddy said he saw some Bengalls in Nimbin, too, for what it's worth. Take that with a grain of salt because he also said he saw a dragon wearing an evening gown and elf shoes.

I'm beginning to think that down there in Oz you could trip and fall into a pile of Bengall's.

Not that I've spent much time searching for razors, but I have rarely seen Bengalls. I have seen plenty of Gotta's and some others that I can't recall the names of, but this was the most Bengall's that I have seen at the same time. I know others have had a different experience though, virtually tripping over Bengall's around every corner.
Jimbo (James) gave me a nice Bengall at our last Brisbane get together and it is a very nice shaver. Smooth hardly describes it. Maybe my honing skills are also getting better too .

Jimbo7 Toowoomba is much bigger these days, and although it is still a nice 'town' it is getting to be more and more strife ridden as the population grows. It has the highest incident of break and enter crime in the state and other violence is on the rise there too. Sad really. It wasn't like that when I went to high school there. I wouldn't be surprised what your mate saw at Nimbin. The sort of things people partake of there, you're likely to see anything

My memories of Toowoomba are of very agro drivers. I have no idea why, but Toowoomba drivers were scary.

And Mike Williams Country Clothing is a pretty cool shop, if you are into that sort of thing.

Not agro really Legion, and not really stupid either. The problem with the drivers there is that they come from all around the surrounding areas, and their driving styles are a mix of country paddock bashers to your Thursday night lappers of the main drag...Having said that, I curse 'em everytime I go through there on my way out to the property.
And Mike Williams, son of the famous R.M.Williams is a member of the Toowoomba Council these days. His shop is still running, which is a good thing, because I do like that sort of thing myself.

Latest trip to Lancasters (today) I saw two Gillette three piece razors in tins. One of which is in really bloody good nick for $28. The other is older, open comb and lives in a rather rusty looking tin (but would have been the one I bought for myself if I had have bothered, simply to have an open comb). Be careful if you decide to go and have a look though, the silly old biddy's running the show have left a blade in the older of the two (I wasn't allowed to make it safe by tossing the blade. If I wanted to do that I would have to buy it).

Just a heads up for those that may be interested. They have a couple of cut-throats, but both are in fairly poor nick.
