Default Two Hand-Made Blades Sent out for Honing in Brisbane

I'm taking a guess that the maker of these is a member here.

Could whomever sent 2 custom/hand-made blades (sans scales) to the Razor Shop in Brisbane for honing please contact me via PM?

If anyone else from the Brisbane area knows who this might be, please let them know I'd like a chat.

    Many Thanks.

    James.

You can always give 'em to me James... How come you don't know who wanted them done? Has the razor shop lost the contact details...Or worse, did you? Whatever has happened, if you can't find the real owner, I got dibs on the first bullshit claim of being the rightful owner.

The guy who owns the shop deals with the customer - I am just the behind the scenes "talent". However, in this case I thought it would be best to talk directly to the maker of these, as there are a couple of technical issues I'd like to know about first hand.

However, it is all fine - I just went ahead and did what I *think* they wanted

If you are the behind the scenes talent for The Razor Shop in Brisbane, then thanks for doing a nice job on my Dovo Micarta a couple of weeks back, shaves like a gem now. Admittedly, Russ did say you were good at your craft and I agree.

Thanks Stripey - I remember that Micarta and it came out nicely I think. I hope you enjoy shaving with it!

G'day James. I believe I also owe you thanks for the job you did on my Dovo Inox in olive wood about a month ago. It is my first straight, gives a great comfortable shave and hasn't bitten me once! Great work, much appreciated, Cheers.

It definitely is a relief to know that there is somebody in Australia that has the skill to sharpen razors.

In fact, there are a few good honers in Aus. Oz (Onimaru - SRP moderator) is by all accounts a tremendous honer. I also happen to know that MickR, while too modest himself to bring it up, can put a mean edge on a blade. Stu (str8razOr) is also in that boat. And these are just the guys I know about first hand.

I'd encourage everyone to try honing at some point down the line. Of course, I am always happy to help in any way I can as I am sure are the other Aussies.

No problems Liam. I also remember that blade and it too came up nicely IMO. I like those INOX Dovos. I hope you enjoy using it.
