Default strop to borrow in northside brissy ?

Hi guys, just wondering if anyone on the Northside had an old unused stop I could borrow? It might be a while before I get to making some from kangaroo hide.

That might be stretching new found friendships a bit too far mate...You might be better off asking if anyone has an old strop in working order that they wouldn't mind lending you. I would do that if I could, but the only strop not in use in my house, is the first one I bought, and it's got that 'sentimental, can't part with it' aura about it that makes me unwilling to part with it for any reason.

    Thanks for the correction
It was a long shot anyway, I have decided to use my genuine leather belt for a while, I will try on news paper too. My belt seems fine grained and I gave the edges a light sand, not good for the belt but it is dual purpose now I have been practising on the Bengal I was given that needs an edge straighten and hone, I want to get my technique OK so I don't ruin the edge.
