The jacket would make you look like a bad stand up comic from the late seventies or early eighties.
I actually like the blue leather shoes, i really didnt think i would, i like the fact that they are not quite black, but sort of look it.
If you really must wear a bow tie, and you are neither a child or mentally incapacitated you should learn to tie them yourself.
If you wear that lot together you will look like a characature of an english professor.

When are you going to wear a bow tie?

For the record I agree with Ed on the shoes. I wouldn't wear any of that lot myself, but only because I would make it all look ridiculous...Notice I said I would make it look...and not they would make me look...! :)
I do like the shoes though, just not the way the blue comes out. A little less blue and I would wear them myself. :)

To work. I do so occasionally and always get comments from the ladies. One lady the other day said "Oh! You're wearing a bow tie! How gorgeous". I think she meant gorgeous as 'cute' not 'attractive'. Even one of my male work colleagues said "I like your bow tie, some people can't pull off a bow tie, I can't but you can" he said. I like mixing things up a bit. I'm also thinking I'd like a nice tweedy waist coat to wear with jeans and my brown leather boots. Very 'in' and 'hipster' at the moment. I'm quite a hipster really. Hence if everyone starts shaving with a straight soon I'll be back to the Bic, or maybe sharpened sea shells...

A nice bow tie can add a spot of colour, like a pocket square...

Ta. I'll see what the shoes look like (i.e. how blue they are). I may add some black polish a tiny tad at a time. I don't want them BRIGHT, but I do want them blue.

"Gorgeous" like a small child in a sailor outfit, or the young son of the groom at a wedding dressed up like the groom?
I thought hipsters wore beards? Speaking of hipsters i went to our flat in town to fix the water heater and saw a single speed bike chained up in the carpark with a VERYrusty chain, and my first thought was "failed hipster".

On a serious note carl, if you like the stuff and feel comfortable in it (i mean emotionally, if it was physical comfort we would all wear saggy trackies and onsies) you should wear it, even if cindy is laughing you out of the door of a morning :)

Ok that went a bit not serious, so just ignore the cindy bit :)
