I have nothing to say at the moment but wanted to be the first to reply.
after some thought I would go with a brown shade for the jacket to match your belt and shoes.
I like the handkerchiefs. For the jacket, keep in mind that the nontraditional single button will stand out - so unless that's part of the sell for you, you may want to find one with two buttons instead.
I personally like the cut, I have no occasion for it though :)

I haven't owned one in maybe 30 years. Not bragging at all ..... I ought to have one for special occasions ..... haven't had any of those in 30 years either ...... :p
I had a Harris Tweed that I liked quite a bit. Gave it to a friend when I moved from the cold to a tropical climate. That would look spiffy with jeans and boots if you were in a cooler climate.
You must be work in the best dressed prison in Australia... I would think dressing down would be the norm for that environment? To muchh flash makes you look like you have to much cash..
