Handguns that Fit

My standard carry gun is the Glock 30 with tru glo tritium/fiber optic sights. Spare mag (if I take it) in the off side pocket. Don't really carry that one iwb. It's short enough that the tagua belt holster keeps it where I can wear a tee shirt if I want. Usually I wear long sleeved tee shirts, polos, or button downs in tucked over it and it only shows if I stretch around just right. If I'm wearing shorts I usually carry my keltec p3at with a crimson trace laser on the front. Yes it's a .380 but I'm a huge believer in the concept of the best gun to have in a gun fight is the gun you have with you. If it's too bug/heavy/uncomfortable you won't carry it.

Those are my two preferred carry guns, but I will occasionally carry my 1911. My favorite gun, and it just "fits" my hand better than any other gun I've ever held!

Has anyone had their paws on the Sig P938? I've been thinking about one a LOT and wanted to see if someone has had one in their paws who has/had a baby glock for comparison.

I think its becoming more and more apparent as I look at all the photos everyone is sharing that deep down inside, I am a wheel gun guy. That's a beautiful looking piece. Is it a .45 long?

I was wondering how long it would take for you to find this thread Wullie!

I love my .40 S&W Shield, but my S&W .357 titanium snubby is usually in my front pocket when I leave the house.

That is an older Uberti copy of the Colt SAA in 45LC. I got that one in the late 80's.

Since we're going with Hi-Powers and Single Actions ........ a Browning (made in Belgium, not assembled in Portugal) 9mm, Ruger 44spl on a 357 frame, and a pair of Colt Single Action Army New Frontier second gens flanking a Winchester model 1897 riot shotgun. One in 44spl and the other 357 magnum. All of 'em fit the hand real nice. :)

I had a WWII Nazi Hi-powr with the tangent sight and the grip cut for the stock.

Somebody thought more of it than I did and made me an offer I couldn't refuse.

It was fun.

I've also got another Hi-Powr in the safe at Dad's place that was bought at the same time I bought the one pictured. The one in the safe has only been out of its box maybe ten times since 1968. ;)

The one pictured is strictly business. We've been all over the world together. It's got the warts to prove it, still gets miles put on it every day.

Dad has my Mod 97 by his bed. THOSE are hoot to play like a trombone! ( as long as you keep you thumb out of the way of that bolt when you jack it. Don't ask me how I know)

That hi-power I posted also has the cut out in the backstrap. I've been told that unless you get a vintage stock numbered to the gun you have to get a federal stamp to legally own it. More trouble than its worth AFAIC. Would be cool to have with the tangent sights though. Do some long range target shooting.
