My wife recently found the old typewriter that she used to play with when she was young. It was in her dad's junk collection. When she showed ir to me I just had to have it. I had been secretly thinking about buying a typewriter from eBay for some time, but the cost of postage is horrendous. This one is a Brother deluxe 750 and took very little to get it working.

It's no good for Facebook, but when it comes to writing it is better than any computer.

Nice, looks almost in mint condition....typewriters are definitely cool.....i kind of like slide rules also, even though my father taught me the simplest uses of one, it is the mystery of the slide rule that interests me.
