One year I put two cords worth of wood ash and two tons of pellet stove ash in my garden, nothing would grow that summer:(.
Next year it was fine.
My son just this weekend started digging up the ground in our yard in MN. The ground is still to cold to plant. We haven't decided what all to plant yet but I have about 50 tobacco plants coming from a friend. It is cheaper for him to buy 100 at a time than 80 and I get his extras.

This must be an early Obama. I have noticed that his hair has changed since he has been in office. :rofl2:
We have 10'x20'x12" tomatoes, lemon cucumbers and green zucchini. 4'x4'x8" rhubarb. 2ea 2'x20'x8" rosemary, sage, thyme, oregano and tarragon for one and the other is full of basil. I will post pics when it is up and running( boxes are built and filled with dirt, compost and coffee grounds). Oh just an FYI if you are needing to add a little life to your garden go to Starbucks if you have one near you and they have free coffee grounds almost all of the time, we just got about 18 cubic feet from a few stores near us and it works great.

I have had decent results with cigarettes. Pipe or cigars have been relative failures. I haven't tried real hard though. I don't have a kiln but can have access to one. This will be my third planting.
Last year I had a bunch mold on me.
