Our latest Northwoods Project
Spent quite a bit of seat time on the Kubota popping out all the stumps using the FEL
They had been cut down at least 15 years ago maybe long so it worked way easier than I had ever hoped for, I had figured I was going to have to rent a Mini Excavator or a Bulldozer to clear it...
We had our very first and very last Slash & Burn pile this year too, worried me and the wife all day and all night was out there like 4 times in the middle of the night spraying it down to keep the fire low... Maybe in the middle of Winter hehehe
Used the Box Blade and Scarifiers (Rippers) to level it and then drop the rippers deep to take out the roots & turn the top soil,,, After that was done we put down Clover seed for a cover crop this year
The plan is to add Apple and Cherry trees and have a small little Orchard.. that however will entail a ton of new fencing so I am trying to figure out how to do that without spending a fortune..
I doubt I can convince the wife to let me use Wire not even Barbless
Maybe Cut some of the 1000's of Saplings we have back there and do it that way
10 foot sections like I built for the garden cost about $40 each to build myself, Cedar picket is about the same :hmmm: decisions decisions
It is a short 1/4 acre of area right now so about 100' x 100'
Not quite a "Garden" but that is also coming along fine :)
Picked up all the lumber to add in the next section of fencing over there, now just to get it done :)
And start moving the starts out there on June 1st
Anyway here are the latest Pics
