    Default BBQ gloves

Does anyone here use BBQ gloves for pulling pork apart for pulled pork. Right now I have a set of bear claws but think the gloves would work better.

I have been using the cheap gloves from Lowes that are like 5$ for 10 in a pack , there thin and are not hot ,, they are the blue rubber Palm and fingers, white knit on the rest ,, have been using them for a few years now they work real good ,, I like to pull the pork while still hot. Tc

Just let the meat cool down, than pull it apart with to large forks,no gloves needed.

Sorry Bill but no self respecting memphis BBQ guy would do it with a fork , got to get your hands in there and twist it around a bit , pull the money meat out and grab a few samples of the bark along the way , got to love it up bit. Just kidding, but I haven't found a better way yet, and I've tryed them all with all the BBQ cookoffs I've been in or around, and it really is better when it's just warm enough to handle , But now don't we have this YMMV thing around here , it applies too. I've always pulled a part when hot, I'll try and let it cool next time

Go to any pharmacy and get you a box of medical rubber gloves that fits your hand size.
The small layer still insulates from heat while pulling stuff apart.
This also allows enough tactile feeling to sort out fat, grizzle, or bones.
I also use them for prep with raw meat to decrease cross contamination.
It's a dog eat dog world and I have on milk bone underwear.

Scare face us right , I've used them also , just make sure there not powdered, but after all of them I still get the Lowes cheapos with the blue nitrile dip on fingers and Palm , they fit like a second skin, and insulate even better ,,and there cheap and durable Dan be used a few times, but not after working raw meat throw them away after that, Tc

ill get a pic tomorrow of the ones I use. Over in the garden section of gloves
