Remember rhensley,, it's shot placement that counts,, not the size or number of rounds.

If you get a chance to look at a P225 Sig you might like it. It's a single stack and lighter and thinner. Also the Sig P320 is a striker fired auto that is a lot lighter. the frame is polymer and it has a very short trigger reset. I know my wife likes hers. She gets my attention when she takes it to the range.

Well I don't personally own one, but I have shot one...it handled beautifully but is a rather bulky gun compared to other ccws. A lot to do with size for carry is personal preference as well as state regs and clothing. On a side note, here is a very interesting artice for caliber tests with personal defense rounds per caliber. http://www.luckygunner.com/labs/self...allistic-tests
Thanks but I'm trying to avoid looking at anything else. If I did I would probably like it. I have quite a few handguns now, and just got my first (and I hope only) AR. These things can be like rabbits, as far as multiplying. BTW, I have Glock G-33 also ......... 357 sig. I don't carry it but it is fun to shoot.
I've been looking at the Rock Islands myself. I might get the 3 1/2 inch in .45, They don't make a plain Rock Island in 9mm, they are all (the 9mm are supped up, with special sights and a skeleton trigger +$550. The plain Rock Island 3 to 3 1/2 in .45 is under $450.00 where I am. These pistols are made on 1911 machinery we left down in the Philipines back during WWII.
I have a 229e2 and carry daily. I use a comp-tac spartan iwb holster and couldn't be happier

I just knew when I started this thread that it wouldn't be long.
Chambered in .40 S&W.
The deal was too hard to resist...New in The case...<$800.
Doesn't really feel like it will be too bad to carry with the proper holster.
