Default Vintage Henssoldt poro prism binoculars

Picked this pair of binos up at the Salvation Army Store a while back. They are a Hensoldt Dialyt 8X30. Hard to resist vintage class especially from a company that supplied the German military. Hensoldt was taken over by Leica/Leitz. These are from the early 1950s I believe.

The paint was peeling from the alloy frame and the diopter adjustment eye piece was frozen. The glass appeared excellent with no scratches or fungus showing. So, time to take a chance.

After some research on the web I decided to send them out for a complete internal overhaul and cosmetic make over to Suddarth Optical Repair in Oklahoma. They fixed the cosmetics redid the internals, cleaning and collimating and the diopter adjustment eye piece now works. They appear to have done an excellent job.
