I'm not that great, self taught, play by ear, can't read sheet music to save my life...at all.
A cheap 100$ Galviston 6 string electric, and a kick arse Line 6, Spider 3. Traded the bass amp I had laying around for it...

Beautiful guitars guys. I'm hoping to start playing again eventually. Seems like either my OCD or ADD always kept me from learning songs all the way through!! Have carpal tunnel from poor posture computer use now so I'm hoping to get that treated first. I've been looking into Platelet Rich Plasma injections and it seems promising as it heals instead of just treating the symptoms temporarily.
I'll have to get a picture of guitar sometime for the thread.
Well, I do not consider myself to be a collector, but my wife would disagree. I have a classical guitar from the 60s, an Ibanez hollowbody electric, a Fender Mexican Strat, a Gibson Les Paul Studio, and a Takamine acoustic electric with cedar soundboard. I also have an Ibanez bass guitar. I can still play the bass, but arthritic fingers makes playing the others rather difficult.

Good luck with your treatments and hopefully they help your playing. Guitars are addictive, and hand injuries can really affect the future of practicing the craft.

It doesn't have to be a collector to sound good, it's all in the hands of the beholder. ;)
I've been playing 45 years and have had a few collectors, but this is my current #1, it can really cover a lot of different tones

what a beauty - and an original tweed case as well...
No pics but I have a couple of acoustic guitars. One is a Febder beginners model that my late Mom bought for me, the other was a garage sale find. It’s a Takamine EG140-SRO and according to Takamine; “built in 1995, It has a solid Spruce top, Rosewood back and sides, and retailed for $899.50 USD (in 1995) “ it’s an acoustic/electric, although I’ve personally never had it hooked to an amp. Now to resume guitar lessons. 😱
Perhaps I should have posted this in the 'What are you listening to' Thread but I thought those who play guitar would enjoy this.
I used to play a little guitar but after breaking my wrist that's a thing of the past. I've always admired musicians; but especially guitar players.
I would think that it would take a 'Better Than Average' player to do this 'Medley' they did together.

Glad that you enjoyed it--I know that I did. While way back in '76 while at Disney World I saw a brass band slowly form a circle and eventually use their fingers to play the other guys trumpet all the while the original player supplied the 'wind' I've never seen two guitar players pick the strings while someone else do the finger work.Quote:

This piece went through rounds and rounds of revisions of stenciling and paint to get the desired effect. It has the feel of the birth of MTV Era mixed with alittle Hendrix and Clash....lol
When it was done being embellished, I coated it in a sh*t ton of polyurethane and some metal flake. Then, off to the luthier, it went to get all of the electronics put in. The only thing that is not Fender or Fender-related is the Spalted Maple body that I found on eBay.

Here is some of the design process behind the "Homage" guitar.
Stencils, blue tape, frisket, spray paint, paint makers, regular markets, graphic design, tons of thought, exacto blades, polyurethane, and a lot of patience and planning. Yet at the same time, making room for mistakes and happy accidents. Lots of things are not necessarily planned for when you start off with a "super clean" computer rendering to a super personal take on a musical instrument.
Let me know your thoughts. I know this isn't for everyone but I found a niche and ran with it.

Thank you! Well it's not a Style O or a German Silver Tricone which is what I'd like to have. But it's got a beautiful tone if I'm not mistaken a Triolian is the guitar that Duane Allman played on "Little Martha." By the way, I play that song on it and it sounds just like his guitar
