Well, I figure if it is not out of line with the originals too much? Ain't no weight on the rear I reckon!
Makes me think of those 'wobble weights' they put in the front corners of the Corvairs.

Corvair, I remember those!
Guess the only weight in the back will be a full tank o gas and the spare tire..
Worth doing the C of G calculations when I’m all done somehow.
Good point sir,, thanks..
You know I can’t help but think, me and you with our lane wool hat hats a couple of Cubans, and some bourbon cruising around town and show em all how we Irish can style
That sounds about right TC. :tu: love to have a ride in it. My older brother had a Midget back in the 70s which was cool but I always fancied the Triumph TRs. The TR5A was pretty cool looking... really any of them were. I liked the TRs better than the Spitfire but a lot of people didn't.
In high school one of the science teachers had an MGA. Not sure what year but it must have been around '60. He always wore the wool hat and scarf. I thought he looked pretty cool in his own right.
I gots the Cohiba’s, and the Jameson ready to go!

You got some pretty gorgeous countryside down there too. Would be a hell of a road trip after they open the borders back up!

Ooo you bet
Little brute force on a Sunday

Had to pull the front frame true without bowing it in much.
So an angle iron to act as an inner brace and some come along now torque got me where I needed to be,mor close enough.
Attachment 326067
Turn this into paired supports for the inside angles.
Attachment 326068
Make a new bumper mount and tap it to 1/3-13.
Attachment 326069
Assemble it roughly p, with a jig spaced fir my bumper hole centers.

I was just wondering a couple of things.
I take it that you needed to move the front of the left hand frame rail horn [In the red box] to the right (right is Always 'right' as you sit in the drivers seat);

If this is why you did this, I'm also wondering why this wasn't done before the rest of the frame was cleaned and coated like the horns bolt on. Maybe I missed something :thinking:
Great Work on a Great Project. :tu
Twas the right iron that needed to go left actually. But you got the jist of it.
I got things in my own minds order is why it’s happening the way it is is all I can say regarding the order of things.
And it was getting cold faster than I hoped so I wanted to get the bulk of the frame properly cured while I could.
:beer1:
I admire your tenacity Mike. That's one hell of a project. It takes a lot of commitment to do a frame off restoration.
