Kittens!
Hey folks,
SWMBO and I have just got ourselves a couple of kittens who are currently causing mayhem and madness in the Stubear household.
They're very cute though, and are good company, so all's good...!
I've attached a couple of photo's below. Both are girls and are 8 weeks old.
They're called Mimi and Tinks. Tinks is the one with more white fuzz on her cheeks and she's called Tinks because she's a cheeky tinker. Seemed an appropricate name..! Mimi is so called because she walked all over my laptop and managed to type mimi when she did so..!
They're both at the stage of running around like idiots and then crashing out asleep. They also like to climb your legs, which is fine if you're wearing jeans, but not if you've just gotten out of bed and are only wearing boxers..!
Anyways, here they are!

Cats are cool dude.
Don`t bother buying toys the4y will just ignore them, mine love a rolled up ball of tinfoil, or some sort of stick (biro, kebab stick, anything that rolls)

Yeah, SWMBO got them a couple of toys which they do like, but they definatley prefer the old corks we gave them..!
My folks cats are the same way. We had 7 when I was a kid, and none of them liked the cat toys. The oldest one used to like the little white balls from the Hungry Hungry Hippos game..! She'd get you to throw them, then catch them and bring them back to you and drop the ball in your hand for you to throw again.
I do like cats..!

I saw a great tee shirt with a cat on it. It said:
"Embrace Your Irrelevance"
Truer words never spoken - I love cats.

No Kidding!
I have a Bengal cat. It is a cross between a domestic house cat and an Aisian Leopard. There is a bumber sticker that reads
"I have to see what my Bengal thinks about that"
This is really true. My cat has something to say about everything to goes on in my house.
This is what they look like:

Cats are one of the finer things in life for sure. Here is an old thread with many examples of SRP family felines.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 4Nice to know I'm not alone
It's so interesting how tastes tend to run in certain hobbies. This is actually the second group I've become a part of where cat's are truly appreciated. The first is amateur radio. I was surprised to find out how frequently felines are found in the homes next to (or on top of) the radios used.
It may not be very many, but I love looking at the pictures and am in awe at the Bengal. What fabulous animals.
I've owned a number of animals in my life, dogs, cats, iguanas, fish, a skunk, lizards, finches, parakeets and spiders. But it's always the cats that have brought me the greatest pleasure. It's that they're so independent, so when they decide to demonstrate affection, it is so genuine.
