Well, my brother-in-law and some friends operate a small brewery in Durham NC. Good stuff, but limited distribution right now, but I get it free, so
Also, it's hard to beat a fine jar of corn squeezin's. As far as the legal stuff, There are too many to name. I like to go to DrinkUpNY.com and drool.
I'm at my brother's right now, having a 12 year Jameson with a splash of water. It's soooo much smoother than the regular Jameson that I can't believe it. I checked prices online and it's very reasonable. I'd definitely recommend trying it if you like whisky or whiskey.
My favorite is homemade Red Sangria when I have the time to make it.

Otherwise Cosmopolitan or just a glass of Merlot.
I'm going for the Remy Martin XO.
Scotch on the rocks... that's not fair to the Scotch (in my opinion). The cold dulls the flavor and the melting creates an uneven dispersion of the water. I use a quarter to a half measure of room temperature water; on the counter in my kitchen you can find a Scotch glass, a bottle of Scotch, and my Britta.
That sounds like an invitation. Lol, as they say.
I like the ice, I swirl it as it melts.
