Thread: What do you want to drink?

If someone stumbled upon this forum they would probably come to the conclusion that straight razor users like single malts and Belgian beer...and not much else, at least as far as alcoholic beverages go. So, what are some of the favorite adult beverages for you guys? Anything unusal?

As often as not I'm a gin and tonic guy. At least when just enjoying a cocktail. Drambue and soda is a nice treat at a party. Margaritas around a pool is great way to spend a lazy summer afternoon.

what i enjoy drinking, and what i end up drinking are hardly ever the same thing. ahhh college. however, given my druthers, i druther have a redhook IPA, a good stout, or one of the nicer vodkas. smirnoff #57 actually out performs most of the $40 bottles.

well, that's my 2 cents.

I will drink almost anything with alcohol in it.

but if I have my 'druthers, I like (apart from what you already mentioned) some nice absinthe, a cold gin and tonic, or even a shot of tequila with tabasco in. (hereabouts we call that last one "prairie fire")

Ahhhh!! the prairie fire. My favorite gotcha drink. If I'm doing shots with a guy this is one I always order, I allow him to choose the glass then I quickly do the shot usually before he even has a chance to pick it up, then I wait he has to do the shot (man rule) and when I order it there are few guys who can take em hot as I like them.

At the minute I'm drinking SOL beer with loadsa cut lime in it. So good!

what ratio do you slam? i usually do 2 parts tequila and one part tobasco, which is widely regarded as weak and womanlike, but i can't do it 1:1 and still enjoy it.

I have no idea, the bar usually handed me two shots and the bottle of sauce. Id shake the bottle into the shot until the smell of peppers started to singe my nose hairs then I'd add the same number of shakes to the other glass and go.

That's a good name for it. I've always heard them called a flaming @$$hole! (I'm guessing because of what happens later?)

Right now, I could use a Gin and tonic. It's warm outside. I like almost anything Gin, Rum, or Bourbon. ONe of the better Gin cocktails I've had was a Casino cocktail. A friend in Vegas made it for me once it's made with gin, maraschino liquor, bitters, orange blossom water, and fresh sour. Refreshing!
