I used another thread as a thinly veiled excuse to post a picture of my partner, Scarlett. I found some other very interesting shots I want to share. Here is Scarlett on stage at a big concert at the Count Basie Theater in Red Bank, New Jersey:

She was opening for Ray Charles. I was very lucky to have had the opportunity to capture this moment:

Scarlett arranged to have a very good drummer from Belgium named Dirk Dergent be here for this concert. We decided the next day to take some publicity shots that Dirk could use to show he had been on tour in the U.S. I drove us all out to Liberty State Park in New Jersey. We lugged the drum kit out into the middle of a field. The people at the park acted as though this was anormal, daily occurence:


We were initially shooting facing the other way with the Statue of Liberty in the background. After a roll of film, I convinced Dirk and Scar to turn the drum kit around and let me shot with the lower Manhattan skyline as a background. Scarlett then began acting a little wierd but I just went with it and caught this shot:

The date I shot these pictures was August 26, 2001. Two weeks later things looked alot different.( Take note of the kite in the pictures)
