My wife loves 'em... She's got a few true corsets and quite a few corset-like tops and lingerie tops. She talked a friend of hers into buying a corset, and a few days later the friend was telling all her female friends "buy a corset, it will change your life".
I have another friend who has CAD, and gets most of here custom made from a shop online called Blood Drop. She has some amazing corsets.
Ladies, if you ever visit Belgium by any chance, could you perhaps drop by and explain all this to my wife and convince her of the benefits. :w

Yes CAD is as expensive as RAD and most of the same principles remain the same. You get what you pay for, so a quality corset like a quality razor are worth the £$$£

I like Hold Up's for everyday wear. They come is lots of different colours/styles and have different tops to them. You can either get plain elasticated tops or fancier lace ones. You don't need a garter or suspender belt as they stay in place themselves, so you're not sitting there waiting for the dreaded "ping" as one of your anchors breaks free and snaps you on the leg or butt.;)Quote:

As to where to get such confections, I have to say, check out your lingerie store/department & ask there. They know what they sell, mostly, & won't laugh. You'll feel very knowledgeable & smug, especially if you're carrying a little bag... The best ones I've ever, ahem, come across are by Rigby & Peller. Like a TI, very pretty, very ££$$$

the wife wears them from time to time; here we are at scarborough faire this year and she is wearing one. i really don't know how it would be possible to don one without help, it always takes a fair bit of work to get it securely fastened and tightened to her liking.
i dislike it for the same reasons my wife likes the outfit i was wearing in the picture: difficulty of access.
