I shoot traditional Central Asian style. My current bow is a Yuan-Kubilai by Mariner (Gui Shunxing, a very respected bowmaker in Hubei Province, China) that draws 58# at 32" and its strung length is 52-3/4". I make my own bamboo arrows from seasoned and flame hardened cane, 34" cut length, 165 grain field points, 1/2" high x 5-1/2" long fletching burned on the shaft from whole feathers. I shoot with the traditional thumb ring exclusively, and have since 1988. I have a short ring I made from buffalo horn in 1988, and a long ring I made from yak horn this past summer.

While I'm not a participant I've admired archers for years.
I posted a very old picture here at this thread about a year and a half ago I just thought that maybe there were some new posters who would enjoy seeing some old archers with their bows.
I hope all will enjoy;

That's a large area,, is it a public archery range?
Military post.
Well, Friday, Saturday & today it was the IBO Traditional East Coast Championship at our club. we have about 50 acres & 5 different courses. I don't shoot a traditional bow; I shoot a compound. So I had to park cars from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm & watch for thieves that might hit the lot.:( Today was pick up all the equipment. :(
I took about 20 photos on the cell, but only these turned out. We are hosting the Rinehart 100 in 3 weeks.
Thanks for looking,,,,,,,:)

Hirlau, are the red and white tubes yardage markers?
Yes, but don't ask me much more about them. I was told today the closest one to the animal is for children of a certain age group,,, the second & third are for certain types of traditional bows.
