So I'm guessing there are a few folks on here who like to shoot. What's your favorite weapon?
I have two favorites. Love my Sig P200 45 ACP but it's lousy for concealed carry. So I got a little Keltec P-3AT 380.
What about everyone else?

Those keltecs are pretty cute ! I love a 45, but my skinny butt cant hide one. Some friends of mine have bought the keltecs and say they are good turn me loose guns and thats about it.
I carry a Springfield 1911 Compact 45.
Also have the new Ruger LCP for concealed.
Long guns, I have a Marlin 30-30 that was my grandpa's favorite gun, and I got it only after he could no longer use it (aka when he passed on).
i like my guns....Lefty and Righty....BAHAHAHA sorry i couldn't resist :-)
I would have to say my favorite one is my Springfield Armory xd-45 with a close second being my Springfield Armory 1911 .45 I guess I am "fortunate" enough to be large enough body to comfortable conceal full size firearms.

My favorite is my Tavor.
All time favorite HANDGUNS: Colt Officer's ACP: 45 acp (carry gun)
Browning Hi-Power 9mm
Glock 27 40 S&W( carry gun)
My passion is really in Long Range rifle competition though. Accuracy International AW-SM 338LM.
For those interested in a REALLY top notch Tactical Shooting site-try:Sniper's Hide
Actually looking for a P2000 myself, but an HK P2000 SK .40.
I've got a quite a few, but my favorites are:
HK P9
HK P7
Steyr Mannlicher 30-06
1920's Colt Woodsman 22LR
Ruger Redhawk 44mag
This one, Kimber Gold Combat Series 1.
.44 Magnums are a lot of fun to shoot, but since they literally EAT money, ya' gotta reload, if you shoot 'em very much. But NOT very practical for carry.
My 'Carry' gun is a full size Colt 1991A1 that was completely worked over at Novak's .45 Shop. I am a six footer who weighs a little over 250, so I can carry it concealed, without many problems. It has saved my bacon once. So it was worth every dime I paid!
1. Springfield XD .45 ACP Tactical Model 2. S&W 327, 2inch 8 shot N frame .357 3. Old Colt Agent 4. Old Colt Agent. After 50 years of expiermenting with handguns, these 4 are my favorites.
I carry a full size SW1911 in .45acp. as i've learned about gunsmithing over the years, i've replaced much of it and customized nearly all of it.
for 3 gun I use my carry gun plus a RRA A4 and a Benelli 12 ga. tons of fun.
.357 Colt Python, 6" blued - old but reliable.
Oh, I also like to shoot Sporting Clays, so I have a Beretta over/under. Beretta is where I first learned the word "Inox," which brings it back to the forum for relevency. :)
I carry a S&W AirLite PD 357 loaded with + P hollowpoints.
Other guns I have and consider all as favorites;
Sigarms P229 SAS .40
Beretta M 96D .40
Glock G23 .40
Glock G20 10mm
S&W M66 44mag 7 1/2 bbl
S&W M66 44mag 2 1/2 bbl
Colt SAA New Frontier 44spl 2nd gen
Colt SAA New Frontier 357mag 2nd gen
S&W K22 6"bbl 10 round cylinder capacity
Winchester M97 riot 12ga 20" bbl cyl bore circa 1940
Guess I suffered from GAD back in the day. I learned to stay out of gun shops. :)
If I were an American resident, I would certainly be a gun nut!
Alas there is no Amendment II here in France. To bear any arm is strictly forbidden, you have a very limited right to self-defense. You can keep a gun but you must cope with pretty annoying procedures. In France, it is truly politically incorrect to be a gun rights advocate. You are seen as a freak. One will tell you all the clichés about the USA to justify this prohibition and conclude that "such rights are impossible in France because this is not in our culture!". This is pure bull****! I guess there are certainly many Frenchmen still alive nowadays that lived the times -until 1939- when you could freely order a gun from the Manufacture française d'Armes et de Cycles in Saint-Etienne (they also produced some straight razors!). Sorry for being off topic!
So, if I were allowed to, I would get a Desert Eagle .50 AE http://reginleif.free.fr/psychobang.gif
If I were allowed to own a gun, I would get a Colt Detective http://reginleif.free.fr/mini5
Browning BDA 380
Springfield Armory M1 Garrand
Remington Nylon 66
Remingtion 870 Magnum Express
Shiloh Sharps #1 Sporter, #2 heavy bull barrel, .45-2.4": bad medicine for targets out to 1000 yards; for the close in targets it also could be a very convincing club.;)
To shoot (sport shooting of course, I am Swiss), my favourite gun is the Hämmerli 280
Here are my three favorite guns in my collection.
For concealed carry - Glock 26 with Crimson lasergrip
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...0/DSC01535.jpg
For play - DPMS AR-15
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...000/ar15-1.jpg
For hunting deer - 7mm REM MAG
http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e8...ng2000/7mm.jpg
My favorite (this week) is my Ithaca side-by-side 20ga but that's because it's dove season. It changes by the season :). They are like kids, if it becomes obvious that one is the favorite, the others all get jealous.
For self-defense, I carry:
Glock Model 26 (9mm)for target shooting:
Kimber 1911 Compact Stainless (45 ACP)
Smith & Wesson Model 41 (.22 LR)
Steel Angel and Meeme, if either one of you ever visit Nashville, I would be more than pleased to take you to the range for a day of shooting. Those of us in the US have difficulty understanding the lack of gun rights in other countries. We are fortunate to have the Second Amendment. Without the Bill of Rights I am sure we would find ourselves in the same situation.
We would be very pleased :y
As far as I am concerned, a major difference between European (at least French) and American people is the relationship with individual freedom. For instance, an American has an atavistic distrust of the Government while a Frenchman worships the Government, like a golden calf. But the lack of faith in individual freedom also means a lack of individual responsibility. For us (I do not include myself nor Meeme because we sometimes feel like strangers in our own country), the Government must have an answer to EVERY problem. IMHO the right to defend oneself is strongly linked to the right to life. Denying someone the right to bear a gun for self-defense purpose is like denying him to live. I think a kind of NRA lobby in France will attract no more than 0.1% of the population! Maybe Switzerland is the European country that is the most close to the USA on individual freedom issues.
Steel Angel,
There is a lot of insight in your post. Unfortunately there are many here in the USA who also feel the government should be their personal golden calf, and become very vexed when one suggests there are things one should do for him or herself...
Hopefully you gentlemen do get to make the trip and do some shooting. Time at the range is quite a bit of fun, and nothing at all like any of the more serious uses for firearms, including, to allow one to remain alive. I like your right to life argument.
John P.
if i was american and had the followtrought to get a type IV (i think) license i would get those babies.
oasis
i'm not so i'll keep on loving my antonio zolli .12 and winchester semi auto .22
that particular weapon is a class 3 firearm, governed by the NFA of 1934. (or 39, i can never remember). you don't need a license, per se, just a LOT of paperwork and signatures from local law enforcement acknowledging the transfer. it's not illegal to own, it's only taxed at the point of sale, and rather steeply at that.
guess again sub sonic .22 ;)
My match mule on top (M1A Supermatch), Winchester 52D below. Classic match rifles.

H&K 91
H&K 93

M1 Garand
Remington 700...7mm Mag
Remington 870 12 ga
Browning A-5 sweet 16
Ithaca side by side 16ga
Browning Citori 12, 20, 16 gauges
S&W Mod 41
S&W Mod 17
Wilson Combat 1911
there are more, but I've got to get ready for work.:D
I have no favorite I love them all. If I had to pick only one it would be the marlin 45/70 guide gun. This will kill anything needed and I can swing it from the pasenger seat to the window of the truck from behind the steering wheel. as for handgun carry I like my keltec P3AT for summer and the good ole Colt 1911 in the winter. Boy that John Browning was truely a smart man. the 1911 is still THE GUN to carry in my opinion. Glock is great but how can you argue the .45ACP in the 1911 for simple effective firepower. And thanks to our French members for reminding me to thank God for the right to keep and bear arms. And ask God that that right not be infrenged in November no matter who wins.
