    Default A Sweet Ashtray

I'm working on setting up a smoking lounge in my attic, since the deck will be out of the question come winter. I'm trying to go for an oldschool/classy-relaxed feel. Finding a fitting ashtray was a bit of a challenge.

I decided to head to a local antique shop and have a look around. There were a bunch of cigarette ashtrays, but those were of no use. I've actually decided not to allow cigarette smoking; a) it's not classy b) I don't want the smell of cigarettes up there.

In the last section of the store that I looked at, I found a suitable "ashtray." It looks like it is actually some kind of small pan, but the two "spouts" serve quite well as cigar holders. The only two downsides are that it is not very wide (only one holder can be used at a time), and it's not that deep, so I'll have to empty it out frequently. Neither is really a big deal.

I'm very happy with the purchase, and it was only $15. Here's some photos.

And yes, that is a dartboard on a mini fridge. I'm hoping to get something else; I like the dartboard but would rather not have to look at the corners of the fridge.

That's a pretty cool ashtray, and it could also be used as a weapon if need be.

BTW, I have the same lamp.

Check out the ashtray my uncle made from a 40mm grenade case and 7.62 ammo at Rucker in 1973. I love this thing!

Funny you mention it could be a weapon. While I was trying to decide between this one and another, my buddy who was with me at the time said he liked the design of this one but also mentioned that I could use it to keep him in line...

Unfortunately, it is not an Acid. I'd really like to try them, but they are a bit on the expensive side. The little one is a cheapie that I got for when I go out to the bar and want a smoke. I find smoke goes well with beer, and these little things are a great alternative to cigs (which are gross).
