A new month begins. Let's hear about the good stuff!
Not a fine cigar, but these are one of the reasons I haven't made it back stateside yet...
Haven't mastered writing the language in Latin letters, but the name for this sounds like
*Kyebapi so kromit y bukovka*
a.k.a. the best sausage thingies I've ever eaten, accompanied by seasoned crushed red pepper, diced onions, and wonderful bread. Washed down with a very decent local pilsner. I try to keep it to once-a-week with these guys, which is tough considering the restaurant is across the street. :)
That looks like an amazing meal. Now that im hungry (thanks alot northpaw :)) i will go make myself some sausage gravy and biscuits. Or maybe red eye gravy cause i got a nice slab of country ham yesterday.
I hung around in Philly an extra day to shoot a round of clays at a new club with a co worker. Had an good round, broke 80 at a first time club and we had a blast. Finished the day with a Nestor reserve and an Oliva V.
Last night I had Red Stripe for the first time in... I can't even remember when I had it last.
Drove home from Philly today, 8 hour drive. Had a NUB Cameroon an hour into the trip, a few hours later I fired up an Indian Tabac Cameroon Legend Super Torro Gorilla Maduro. Monster of a cigar, 6 inches and a big fat 58 ring, two hours later I finished it.
My Spaten Optimator-clone homebrew has finally matured after months and months of waiting, and I finally got to drink a tall cold one last night. I think it might actually be better than the old standard dopplebock, and is certainly more alcoholic; hygrometer says it's pushing 10% abv
I had a Monte # 2 and a Tatuaje Cabaiguan while out shooting a round of Sporting with Lynn and Don. Beautiful fall day in Ohio...bright orange and red leaves and a clear blue sky.
Oliva 'O' Maduro Robusto
Just had the last of my double Virginia/Black Cav mixture in meerschaum. I think I'm going to try mixing up some burley and black cav now that I have an empty jar. "Stonehenge" and "Black Vanilla" from the Dewey Ave Smoke Shop.
An A. Fuente Chateau maduro,
First cigar in a while; Indian Tabac Super Fuerte Maduro out on the deck in some unseasonably warm weather. It's mid 60's here in Rochester.
After finishing my cigar, I came inside, had a nice hot shower, a great shave with four razors (test shaving), and now I'm tucking into a little Jack.
Sancho Panza Double Maduro with water up in my lounge while listening to Alice In Wonderland narrated my Kylie Minogue with music by Paul Oakenfold.
Followed by a hot shower and a shave with my Savage while listening to George Thorogood.
I'm about to pour myself a little 7&7 to go with ground beef & baked beans over rice.
A new liquor store opened downstairs from work today called Cask. Owned by the same people that own Bourbon and Branch, a modern speakeasy. They had the best selection of Whiskey I've ever seen. Had to try me a new one. I'm a huge Jameson's fan so I was directed to give Redbreast a try. I'm not ready to give up my Jameson's yet, or at double the price, but this is some good stuff.

CAO anniversary maduro and a good cappuccino from the espresso machine.
Last night,
1969 Glenlivet
2004(?) Cohiba Sublime EL
As it was nubbed...
Ron Zacapa 23
Yum. Nice way to finish up an evening a few hours after a solid workout, while the baby sleeps....
7&7, Sancho Panza double maduro (+ Modern Drummer 5 Disc 2), 7&7
Last night $58 Porcini rub bone-in rib eye from Mozza Osteria in LA (Mario Batali's restaurant. The steak was the size of my shoe!
Currently enjoying a bowl of Gent's Blend in briar while listening to my one and only station on Pandora. Finishing up the night's homework before heading out with a drink with the guys. Life's too short to drink cheap beer.
I tweaked a blend I'm working on, it's a mix of black cavendish and burley. I made a bit of an adjustment, had a nice smoke in meerschaum, and I'm quite pleased with how it turned out.
After working 10 hours under a crawl space I decided to use the jacuzzi tub in my new house. I also had a Padron 64. The moisture from the hot water in the air didnt affect the cigar like i thought it would. My lower back and knees feel much better now (a few hours after).
Currently sipping a bottle of Brooklyn Brewery's Black Chocolate Stout. I'll probably have the next one out of a glass to see what it's like, but for now all I can say is it's quite strong.
Last night a glass of Four Roses Bourbon was waiting for me when I got home. Good stuff, and very affordable.
Just wrapped up a bowl of Balkan Exotic Blend #2, a fine Turkish/English blend from Dewey.
Currently sipping my second Brooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, this time out of a glass. Minimal head, and black as night; I must say that it is better out of a glass than out of the bottle.
At the same time, I am watching WRC Rally Monte Carlo 2008.
No need to post again, since I was on the tail of the thread. Just about though a bowl of Captain's Black Cavendish in meerschaum; a blend of virginia and burley with, you guessed it, black cavendish. Smoked while plodding through season 1 of Bones
Sipping on a little southern comfort with a dash of lime, to cold for a cigar today.
Just took two loaves of sourdough out of the oven. Good stuff.
Last night, I had a bowl of Captain's Black Cavendish (burley, virginia, black cav) in meerschaum.
