Well somtimes it is a small price to pay, Just being able to keep in touch with the family and all. right now i have my 4 personell sharing it with me so it offsets the cost SOMETIMES but online games are out of the question and so is VOIP phones web cams arent so bad but they do tend to suck up the bandwidth. If I can just hang on two more months and then I can come home and this time I think it will be for good this time. neeed to be home with the family and grandkids now

Yup Grandkids. The wife and I have had custody of two of them for going on six years now but I have been over here for five. So now its time to go home and play some of the games I collected with them:y
I also bought Gears of War 2 last night. Multiplayer for that is awesome, and havin2muchfun, you can play on system link with up to 8 people I think. It's amazing.
Also, skip Call of Duty 3. Go right to 4. And honestly, the new one is just another WW2 shooter. It's good, don't get me wrong, but I just got tired of them over time.
I'm done buying games now until I beat Fallout AND Gears though.
All this talk of Fallout made me curious as to what other games I'd missed out on. Now I've got Fallout 3, Call of Duty World at War (played COD4 already, haven't played a WWII game in a while), Far Cry 2, and Left 4 Dead on my list to get.
Who would have thought a gaming addiction would re-emerge through SRP?
Thats funny, Cause i can remeber when I used to yell and scream at my two kids (grown up now) and tell them to get off that thing and get outside and how can you just sit there all day or night and play that darn thing. Now look at me! I have more gaming stuff than they do LOL and my son has asked me to send some of the ones i have played so he can play them this way he dont have to spend the money. my whole life I would have never even thought of just sitting there playing a video game now I do my 12 hours a day and if i aint on this computer being a forum mongrul I am sitting in front of the television playing one of the games i have and the count is getting larger. but ohh well it's not like I can do anything here work my shift and then go to my hooch Kinda like a prison camp Stalag 13 from Hogans Hero's really LOL:roflmao
Just got Left 4 Dead. Played for about 10 mins, and my first impressions are that it's a mindless, full-on-action shooter. Not that that's a bad thing, seems quite well done for what it is. It's a great break from the driving games I'm otherwise involved in at the moment. I'm quite sure I'll play through the whole thing at least once.
Maybe it's just me, but solving puzzles whilst fending off zombies doesn't sound like a very good time:roflmaoQuote:

Like... use of cover, having to choose between a number of weapons, how to attack groups of enemies, etc. Granted, I've not played much L4D, but from what I have seen, there is none of the above (well, you choose a primary weapon at the start and you have to balance using your primary weapon, which has limited ammo, with using your pistol, which has unlimited ammo).
Ahh, gotcha. I guess I play too much CoD type stuff, I just take that sort of thing for granted. I can see how that would be frustrating for sure.Quote:
