Thanked: 14Guns and Video Games
Well...I like to play video games and i like to shoot guns (mostly skeet). When something comes along that combines the fantasy of video games with real life well i almost **** myself sometimes :-) i like gears of war, i like the chainsaw bayonet, and i like the way this guy thinks :-) me and my buddy are seriously thinking about this for his AR15

I would think that thing would get a bit heavy to carry around...
Speaking of guns in video games, give STALKER a try. I've not yet had a chance to give the new one a shot (Clear Sky, it's called), but the old one was very good. The weapons were all based off of real weapons, and there are a number of mods that were designed to make the weapons (and armors) more realistic. In my opinion, STALKER is one of, if not the, greatest FPS ever.

Loved Stalker and waiting for Clear sky to arrive played Fear to no end on the PC and have done the Crysis games both of them a couple of times gotta love that nano suit LOL.
And as for the real weapons I have a collection of them but being that i have to carry one here all the time getting tired of it. he he he.
And getting ready to play Fallout 3 on the PS3, here directly and see just what kind of trouble i can get myself into with that.

I briefly played Clear Sky, but didn't have time to get that into it. First impression: I didn't like it. But that might have only been because I'd just replayed through STALKER and anything different would have been disliked.
I had never heard of Fallout 3 until the vacation (I don't have a TV), but it does look pretty good. I'll have to put it on my "things to do during winter vacation list." Can anyone say anything about it?

I can tell you it's a great game! I'm playing through it now. I'm around 15 hours in or so, and I'm loving it.
Also, for modern weapons, you can't really beat Call of Duty 4. Especially the multiplayer. It's a rockin' good game. I played the XBox Live multiplayer so much, it took me 7 months to finish the single player. Not because it wasn't good (it was awesome), but because multiplayer was SO much fun.

I don’t know… I think that’s a bit overkill on any rifle, a chainsaw? That would be purely for looks, not practical at all.

What the hell for?

Havent got to do the COD3 yet but will once I get the three I have going now done. As for online games they are pretty much out of the question here, uses way to much bandwidth and being that I am already paying $650.00 a month for the satellite internet service I do have I just cant afford to buy any more which would put it at about 950 a month. But my crew and I do have our systems (X-Box 360 and PS3) linked up and do have a good time with Halo 3. My one Tech is doing the Fallout 3 thing right now and cant say enough about it. And then there is the thing about TV well I have one and the only thing it is used for is the consoles. LOL not sure what is going on out there in the real world except what I see and here on the net.
